Independent Practice – Final Major Project: Bubble and Squeak: Bubble and Squeak: Bubble’s Solo Climb and Tap attempt part 2

This post is to show the scenes I made for Bubble when he was trying to solve the tap problem on his own:

The climbing is very similar to group one did early on.

The climbing animation essentially the climb from previous without Squeak but is still used and animated successfully to build up suspense and also allowing the target audience to connect with the character as he reacts to dodging water. The second clip is the idea of using Bubbles’natural adhesive to move the tap, but one problem came up when I was animating that I had no puppets made that allowed the turn around but then I had an idea to use Bubbles’s shell as a means to show him turning around with out our complicating the scene and it would also causing a few laughs the way Bubbles’ turns around. So I made a new puppet  but only a shell and used this to show how Bubbles’ moved by recording him retract into his original shell. Which I then replaced with my new shell and then made it look like it jumped in the air and spins before landing and Bubble comes out turned around. The drama and emotion that was created when Bubble tries to stop the tap is heart breaking and effective at drawing in the target audience and making them feel sorry for the snail.
