Independent Practice – Final Major Project: Bubble and Squeak: Bubble and Squeak Bubble’s Attempt 1

This post contains fragments of my early attempt at Bubble’s go at stopping the leaking tap from dripping again:

This was supposed to be a lot longer but the camera went funny and affected the software in a weird way, hence why the video is only a second long.

Bubble has now successful scaled the sink without the help of his friend but is determined to solve the problem that has been plaiging said friend. Unfortunately said character has a problem, which is that due to his natural abilities he can’t turn of the tap. The way Bubble turned of the tap was originally good idea but as I began to animate it I noticed that a snail wouldn’t be able to use it’s eyes in that manner to turn of a tap, it’s eyes/antennae are an important part of it’s body. So I had to come up with another idea, which involved the characters trying to turn the tap of with’s tail, since a snails slime acts as a natural adhesive it made sense that the character would trying using said ability to grip the tap when turning it. Another reason why I didn’t go with this scene is that it didn’t fill the required suspense for the build up at the end.
