Narrative Structure:

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Evidence their understanding of significant exemplars of Factual/Non-Fiction (Inc Documentary, Educational and/or Campaign based) AND Fiction based Animations.
  2. Reflect upon their work in relationship to their stated intention.
  3. Initiate Creative Work suitable, a Non-Fiction AND Fiction based Animation Projects.
  4. Command and Employ a range of creative and production processes appropriate for Non-Fiction AND Fiction Based Animation.

Evidence:

  1. Evidence Self-Motivated Investigations, Development of Reflective Practice. Traditional and Digital and/or 3D Outcomes all via Blog or Online Portfolio and Formal hand-in. Final Animation/Work in Appropriate Format.
  2. Evidence Self-Motivated Investigations, Development of Reflective Practice. Traditional and Digital and/or 3D Outcomes all via Blog or Online Portfolio and Formal hand-in. Final Animation/Work in Appropriate Format.
  3. Evidence Self-Motivated Investigations, Development of Reflective Practice. Traditional and Digital and/or 3D Outcomes all via Blog or Online Portfolio and Formal hand-in. Final Animation/Work in Appropriate Format.
  4. Evidence Self-Motivated Investigations, Development of Reflective Practice. Traditional and Digital and/or 3D Outcomes all via Blog or Online Portfolio and Formal hand-in. Final Animation/Work in Appropriate Format.

A – You are to Research and Collate your thoughts reflections and findings in the following:

  • Factual/Non-Fiction, (Inc Documentary, Educational and/or Campaign based Animation).
  • Fiction based Animated Short.

B – You are to Initiate (No less than an Animatic, with some Animation and Sound) a Short Animation, no more than 30/45 secs Animated Biopic on a person of your choice that fits into the following Category:

  • Scientist
  • Conqueror
  • Blues/Jazz Musician
  • Philosopher
  • Explorer

C – You are to Initiate a Fiction based Short Animation (No less than a story boards, with directions for Sound, Style Sheet Notes and SFX) based upon one of the following:

  • An Aesop’s Fable
  • Myths of Music
  • “We Meet at Last!”

All three parts (A,B and C) of the above must be evidenced in your hand in along with Reflective Notes, evaluating each of the Animation Projects in terms of your Orginal Intention.

Notes:

SFX – Refers to Sound and Special Effects that are used with in a Film and Animation regardless of it’s size.
