Timeline Research 1908: Fantasmagorie

Fantasmagorie is a French Animated Fim that was created and directed by Emile Cohl and is considered as one of the very first hand drawn animation just like the Humorous Phases of Funny Faces. The only exception between these two is that Fantasmagorie is was drawn on the negative of the film of the movie then Humorous Phases of Funny Faces which was drawn on a chalk board.  The film uses a simple form of animation that uses two characters a clown and a gentleman that encounters various objects and interacts with them, the film is based is on the magic lantern, which is one of the earliest forms of animation. In my personal opinion it is one of the most successful hand drawn animations that was has been produced in the early 20th century as well as been a key moment in the history of animation. I believe that is is one of the very first successful attempts at making an animation by using negative film as the background of the animation. It is classed as a animation as well as historical.
