Timeline Research: Phantasmagoria

The Phantasmagoria was an created in 1779 and was a sequence of imagery such as Skeletons and demons that where projected from a modified magic lantern onto a wall or onto a screen, due to the fact that the lantern was mobile so where the projections. This is considered as one of the very first forms of cinematography even before the Lumiere Brothers produced the Cinematograph. I personally believe that this one of the very first and effective advancements in Animation for the past few hundred years, one of the earliest been Cave Paintings and Greek Pottery. The Phantasmagoria was invented by a Belgian Physicist in France during the late 18th Century, but I also believe that some of the credit for the Phantasmagoria should go to the inventors of the magic lantern in the mid 17th Century Athanasius Kircher and Christiaan Huygens. This Animation was and is considered as Entertainment more precisely a form of cinematography/photography due to the fact that it is one of the first forms of projected Animation recorded in history. This is classed as an Invention due to it been one of the very first means of projecting a animation onto a wall just like a cinema projector.
